Hello, this is Joanna Patrice Haggerty and I am on location at the 2023 Holiday Pop-Up Market at the Ashville Mall, sponsored by WWBC and BizRadious. Thank you for being here. Thank you so much for being here and promoting First off let's make sure I said your name right.
JPH:
Yes, yes, yay, I think I get really in my head there.
Shifra :
So thank you, that's okay and it is my birth name. It's not like an Ashville or Reader name, which I totally love. Fair to, that works for folks. But yeah, it's really beautiful.
JPH:
Thank you. Well, tell us a little bit about your business, Spiral.
Shifra :
Intuitive. Yes, so I am all about in developing and increasing intuition, because I know that every human has it in some form or another. Yes, and it's just that most of us, unfortunately, were conditioned out of it, especially as children, and so I spread that through tarot readings and through Oracle cards. I also do intuition development, coaching, mentorship. And I'm also an animal communicator, and so I work with a local cat rescue. Binks is home for black cats, now housed in the House of Black Cat Magic in West Ashville, 841 Haywood Road. Oh wow, and so I read there regularly and I just love matching cats with humans. It's just yeah.
JPH:
That is so special. I have two kitty cats myself, so I felt very called to that. Yeah, wow. So how did you get into this work? And let's talk a little bit about intuition and intuitive work, because it's not always fully understood, right?
Shifra :
That is a fabulous question, thank you. Yeah, the way that I see intuition is that inner knowing that also connects with the universe while still centering us in our truths. And any intuitive insight or guidance is always through our own lived experience, our own perspectives. And so I love using the cards, whether Oracle or tarot, as a starting point for my intuition and I do a lot of work under that umbrella of intuition. So, in addition to the animal communication and the readings, I also do some guided visualizations, so, like you know, meditations and guided journeys for healing and past lives, and some like spirit guides kind of stuff, as well as some mediumship work. So for me that's all under my intuition rather than like separated out, but again, like every reader has their own style.
Shifra :
It's about what works for us, and I've been doing this more than 20 years. I was born with a metaphysical bent, so I can't remember a time in this life that I wasn't aware that there was more than we can touch and see. I love that.
JPH:
Well, you know, I am feeling the call. You said you brought a tarot deck here and you're speaking a little bit about that. I think the audience deserves to get a little bit of a reading, don't you?
Shifra :
Absolutely how fun, so I am using a combination of the illustrated oracle cards that are the oracle decks that Maya told developed with Kate O'Hara.
JPH:
Yes.
Shifra :
And I thought, with them both being women, bringing the deck here today is absolutely appropriate.
JPH:
So powerful.
Shifra :
yes, so let's see what comes up in terms of information that might be helpful for everybody. I love that and I love this. The card is called the Fundamentals of Humaneness Wow, and the mineral is salt and it's just this beautiful card where you just see the face in water and it's a reminder that we are made of water and water, energetically, is very associated with emotions, with intuition, as well as with creativity and using our voice. So that's really appropriate, it is so appropriate. So it's a nice reminder for everybody, especially moving into the holiday season and into the new year, that we're all human, yes, and every human makes mistakes at some point and, rather than feeling shame or blame or guilt, I'm sorry, goes a long way.
JPH:
I love that, especially again, holiday seasons can add so much pressure, so much stress, and really bringing that intuitive living to this time of year is pretty important, isn't it?
Shifra :
Yeah, and that's one of the reasons why I'm out here today is because I love the Western Women's Business Center. They've been incredible. They're a wonderful resource for the area and I have used some of their services myself, and so I'm out here doing short tarot readings for humans and animals and then also doing gifts certificates.
JPH:
